A workshop education

Tony grew up around motors and generators. His father was a science teacher who also worked as a motor and generator specialist, giving Tony early access to the tools, components, and practical intuition of electrical machinery. By high school, he was already rebuilding generators and prototyping new machine concepts in an advanced physics program created to support his interests.

Inventor in two worlds

Tony built parallel careers in medicine and renewable-energy research. He trained as a physician and practiced emergency and family medicine while establishing a laboratory focused on new energy technologies. That combination shaped how he solves problems: observe the whole system, identify the true functional mechanism, and eliminate structures that do not directly contribute to the result.

His inventions have included medical tools intended to improve surgical speed and airway safety, patented fuel-cell designs, hybrid photovoltaic-thermal systems, and multiple electric-machine architectures.

Nature as an engineering library

Medicine reinforced a principle that now runs through NextPower360's work: many difficult engineering problems have already been solved by natural systems. Biological structures manage force, flow, heat, and energy through geometries refined for function rather than convention.

Tony's design process often begins by asking what the ideal interaction should look like before considering how existing machines have traditionally been constructed. This biomimicry-informed perspective helped lead to RadialX's concentric magnetic architecture and its integrated approach to electromagnetic and thermal performance.

Reimagining the electric machine

Rather than incrementally optimizing a conventional motor, Tony began with the magnetic field itself. That work produced RadialX: a proprietary electric-machine architecture designed from electromagnetic first principles.

Today, Tony leads NextPower360's R&D across RadialX and Faraday, the company's monolithic, solid-state approach to direct-current generation. The common thread is a willingness to question what the machine must be—and to design from first principles when the conventional answer creates the constraint.
